Privacy Policy
Last updated : 2026-08-04
Kynva reads your movement through a camera. That makes this policy unusually important, so the short version comes first: your camera images never leave your device.
1. Your camera and your body
Pose detection runs entirely in your browser, on your device. Video frames are analysed locally and discarded frame by frame. No image, no video and no continuous body-position stream is uploaded to us or to anyone else.
What leaves your device is the result of a run: a score, a virtual distance, counts of obstacles avoided or missed, and a duration. Those numbers cannot reconstruct what your camera saw.
2. What we collect
Account: your name, email address and authentication details, handled by our sign-in provider.
Onboarding preferences: your stated goal, how often you plan to play, your impact setting and, if you provide it, your location as free text.
Gameplay: run results, scores, daily-run attempts, club membership and territory activity.
Billing: subscription status, renewal dates and a customer identifier from our payment provider. Card numbers are handled by the payment provider and never reach us.
3. Why we use it
To run the game and keep your progress: history, scores, leaderboards, clubs and territory.
To operate memberships: opening access after payment, closing it after cancellation, and preventing the introductory offer from being claimed more than once per account.
To keep the game fair and to fix problems when something breaks.
4. Who processes your data
Clerk (accounts and sign-in), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments and billing), Vercel (hosting), Mapbox (map rendering for real-world worlds).
These providers process data on our behalf, under their own security commitments. Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States, so your data is processed there.
5. Storage on your device
We store some things locally in your browser rather than on our servers: your language choice, your calibration profile, and product usage events used to improve the game. Your sign-in provider also sets a session cookie so you stay logged in.
Clearing your browser storage removes these; it does not delete your account or your saved runs.
6. How long we keep it
Account and gameplay data are kept while your account exists. Deleting your account from Settings removes your profile and the run history attached to it.
Billing records are kept longer where accounting and tax rules require it, even after an account is deleted.
7. Your rights
You can access and correct your profile from Settings, delete your run history there, and delete your account entirely.
For anything else — a copy of your data, a correction we do not expose in the interface, or an objection to how we use it — write to support@kynvafit.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
8. Children
Kynva is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will make the change visible in the product rather than quietly editing this page.
